Since its beginning in 1994, leading fabric manufacturer Mobus has always been about more than producing great products – their close client relationships, disciplined approach to design and deep respect for the planet have earned them the trust of loyal customers across the globe.

When Mobus asked Northlight to help them redefine their brand, we identified a disconnect between their internal ethos and visual identity. We began our process with creative workshops to understand the organisation’s inner workings. The results would inform our decisions in the design process and allow us to set solid foundations for the updated brand.

To help Mobus communicate its unique story of being a family-spirited business with an innovative design-led and sustainable approach to manufacturing, we centred the visual identity around a soft, nature-inspired aesthetic, modernised logo, fresh new colour palette and lifestyle photography. To accompany Mobus’ new friendly tone of voice, we introduced the tagline, ‘Bringing fabrics to life’, which affirms their expertise in the creation of fabrics while acknowledging the meaningful role of fabrics in the family home.

The new redefined brand story and the updated visual approach provide Mobus with a way of communicating honestly and openly to the organisations they work alongside while presenting them authentically as the company they are today. As well as creating the new brand, we built them a new website to tell their story and showcase their fantastic product ranges.
