A vibrant exhibition identity for a world-renowned digital art collection.

Eureka! Art Exhibition

+ Exhibition Identity
+ Print Design
+ Campaign & Advertising

We’ve worked with Eureka! The National Children’s Museum for several years; they recently opened a new gallery space called The Spark Gallery to host rolling exhibitions. The first exhibition, Fusion: Adventures in Digital Art, was a six-month showcase of Lumen Prize-winning artists, the best art created with technology. Eureka! wanted an identity for the exhibition that could be rolled out across a multi-channelled marketing campaign.

The target audience for the gallery is slightly older than Eureka’s usual museum visitors, so we were asked to work with the existing brand assets but change the tone to appeal to a different audience.

The exhibition art inspired our approach; we experimented with pattern graphics and worked on numerous pieces of artwork that would become a featured asset of the design scheme. The chosen design is a colourful kaleidoscopic pattern that can be repeated, rotated, and interpreted in multiple ways. We made use of the Eureka! colour palette, typography and graphical style, but introduced darker backgrounds to compliment the bright red and purple tones giving the visuals a more sophisticated feel.

The team at Northlight have helped bring to life the brand strategy for Eureka! Time and time again, Northlight has been able to take a brief and execute it at pace to our requirements. They listen, learn quickly and are all thoroughly nice people too. A great agency!
